LITTLE SPORTSMAN BOOKS started as the brainchild of author Robert Jacobs in 2004, when his young daughter asked him if he could find her a book to read about hunting. Finding only anti-hunting literature available, he began to create Little Jake adventure stories. These stories began as bed-time fantasies he would tell to his daughter each night. Finally, feeling adventurous he began to write out these stories while archery hunting antelope from a ground blind in Utah. With help from an amazing illustrator, Little Jake began to come to life on paper.

LITTLE SPORTSMAN is the first full line children’s book company dedicated to providing Wonderful stories and Amazing illustrations that will capture the hearts and minds of sportsmen both young and old, everywhere.

These informative books, take a child on a magical adventure that will instill hunting ethics and build better sportsmen for the future.

The “Little Jake Adventure” series initially features 5 books that are destined to become classics. Each book is an exciting adventure in itself, whether leading Jake on a father and son bonding experience in “Little Jake Hunts Alaska”, or hunting for a purpose in “Little Jake and the Three Bears”.

The “My First” series introduces young readers to the wondrous time in their lives when they are given their first BB Gun, or first Bow and Arrow, a time they will never forget. The “My First” series emphasizes safety and responsibility to young people and explains the inherent dangers of negligent behavior. These books make a great gift to accompany their first BB gun or bow.

Little Sportsman Inc. is dedicated to increased participation of the youth into the hunting/shooting/fishing sports, and is donating a portion of each book sale to youth programs for such sports.

About the Author

Robert H. Jacobs Jr.

Robert studied both Elementary Education and Business at Dixie College. He has been an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life and involved in the hunting industry for 17 years. Robert and wife Natalie are the parents of 1 daughter and triplet boys and reside in Oak City, Utah.

The most important thing we can do as sportsmen, to ensure a healthy future in the hunting and shooting sports, is to recruit Tomorrow's sportsmen today.

About Little Sportsman Books Little Sportsman books are an entirely new Genre of illustrated Children's books. Written for Sportsmen, by a Sportsman. All our books are high quality hardcover editions with full-size 8.5"x11", 100 lb glossy pages, using library quality side-sewn bindings. Each book is standard 32 illustrated pages designed to be quick reads, with an approximate 2nd-3rd grade reading level. Recommended reading ages start at 3-4 years old (if you are willing to read to your child) to 12-13 years of age. Illustrations are done by former DISNEY artists and are MADE IN THE USA!
